Terry Chelikowsky has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit, community-driven development. She received her start in the field at the Ohio CDC Association where she developed and coordinated training and technical assistance programs in affordable housing, microenterprise and economic development. She established her own consulting firm based in Columbus Ohio in the mid-1990s, working primarily in organizational strategic planning and microenterprise program development. This work took her to Georgia, West Virginia, Indiana and Wisconsin on various HUD and privately funded contracts. Since coming to the Alliance in mid-2006, Terry has worked steadily to build the structural capacity of member organizations. She was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize, Central America, holds an M.A. in International Development Studies from Ohio University, Athens and is and NDC certified Economic Development Finance Professional.
