Program Director
Amber Stewart is Program Director for the SC Association for Community Economic Development (SCACED). Through its network of members and partner organizations, SCACED strives to improve the quality of life for low-wealth families and communities by advancing community economic development and public policy in South Carolina.
In her role at SCACED, Amber oversees the Community Development Institute training program, Community Impact Fund grant, SC Department of Commerce CED Certification Program, the Community Development Tax Credit program, and Community Economic Development grant. She also supports the President with Policy initiatives and serves on the SC Fair Lending Alliance steering committee.
Amber also plays a critical role in planning SCACED’s annual conference, Opportunity SC, which is the largest comprehensive community development convention and forum in South Carolina. Amber completed her undergraduate at Missouri State University and received her Master of Social Work, specializing in Social, Community, Economic Development from the University of South Carolina. She is a certified Housing Development Finance Professional through NDC and completed Francis Marion University’s Fred R. Sheheen Non-Profit Leadership Institute.
In her time outside of her role at SCACED, Amber enjoys accessing all the great outdoor activities South Carolina has to offer from the Lowcountry beaches to hiking in the upstate.
